Job Description Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of routine field and clerical work in support of non-criminal police functions associated with campus police operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma. Must be able to successfully complete an in-service training program and maintain appropriate certification throughout employment.
- Valid driver’s license with no more than two current points (must be able to qualify for college insurance coverage).
- One to two years’ related experience or required coursework/certification which involved basic clerical/office skills and interaction with the public or required coursework/certification.

- Answers routine inquiries from the general public and makes proper dispositions or
directs them to proper authorities, or resources.
- Retrieves and inputs data into computer terminal as appropriate.
- Indexes and codes a variety of records as assigned
- Performs data entry and distribution of student parking permits.
- Provides general clerical support to various administrative functions using an office
computer
- Operates the police substation.
- Maintains forms and office supplies at police substation and orders when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
- As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
