POSITION OBJECTIVE
The objective of this position is to conceive, design and implement high impact colon cancer research projects with translational goals. The research scientist is expected to independently apply for grant funding as PI and to work with the supervisor to mentor postdoctoral fellows and graduate student.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise postdoctoral fellows and graduate students. Provide technical assistance and help to trouble shoot research problems.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Position requires a minimal of 5 years of experience in colon cancer research. Education/Licensing: A PhD in biological science.
REQUIRED SKILLS
The candidate must have the following technical skills: various molecular biology techniques including gene targeting, molecular cloning, western blot analysis, real-time PCR, protein purification ect; various cellular assays involving colon cancer cell lines; immunohistochemistry analysis of tumor tissues; establishment colon cancer subcutaneous; developing and analyzing transgenic mice with intestinal tumors.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The applicant will work with tissue cultured cells, mice and radioactive isotopes.
