About the opportunity
Working under the broad direct of the Manager, Communications, Marketing and Media, you will be responsible for coordinating event planning, logistics and marketing through a variety of channels including: website; social media and electronic direct mail. You will need to have high quality customer service skills, demonstrated experience in events management and coordination, and the ability to provide professional support to a wide range of stakeholders.
You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with external suppliers and the communications, marketing and events staff at the SQA’s partner Universities. You will also work closely with the SQA management team and provide event advice and support where required.

The Sydney Quantum Academy (SQA) is an unincorporated joint venture between The University of Sydney, The University of New South Wales, Macquarie University and University of Technology Sydney, supported by the NSW Government. The SQA’s mission is to build Australia’s quantum economy. An innovative, collaborative model, the SQA offers education and training programs across the four universities to develop the next generation of quantum leaders, specialists and entrepreneurs. It also seeks to partner with industry to attract and develop global talent and investment and promote the responsible development of quantum technologies. The SQA is seeking to establish a flagship quantum conference in Sydney and host a variety of workshops, seminars, networking and industry engagement events.
