Contracts Strategist

The Opportunity:

As a contract specialist, you use your sharp negotiation tactics and talent for organization to help manage critical documents. We need you to bring your contract management knowledge to consult on contract negotiations and development processes and practices on behalf of the U.S. Space Force. You'll be a trusted advisor and a valuable collaborator who finds creative solutions to complex problems.

You'll use your expertise to capture, implement, and assist in a diverse range of proposals, new contracts and existing contracts across a breadth of contract types and renew strategic alliances. In this role, you'll touch every element of government acquisition, from beginning stages to completion. You'll review and analyze solicitations for potential risks, guide suggested proposal strategies, and advise leadership on risk mitigation strategies.

You'll apply advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor team members across a breadth of contract types.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience in contracts negotiation, award, and administration

  • Experience as a federal government contract specialist or contract administrator

  • Experience with major weapons systems acquisition contracting

  • Experience with engineering service, research and development, production, and software contracts

  • Experience performing price analysis, cost analysis, and cost realism

  • Experience with cost reimbursable and firm fixed price contracts

  • Experience interpreting and applying complex acquisition rules and regulations and providing actionable recommendations to clients, including senior government executives

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with a $5M+ contracting warrant

  • Experience as a Procuring Contract Officer (PCO)

  • Experience with negotiating, awarding, and administering Acquisition Category (ACAT) Level Ithrough III

  • Experience with negotiating, awarding, and administering Adaptive Acquisition Framework (AAF) Pathway contracts

  • Top Secret clearance

  • Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) Certification

  • DAWIA Contracting Level II Certification

  • DAWIA Contracting Level III Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
