Job Description
The Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship invites applications for a tenure-track position to join the college’s Finance Option. Candidates would be expected to be able to teach courses in finance. Candidates with terminal degrees, experience, interests, and scholarship in finance or similar fields are encouraged to apply. A normal teaching load is 15 hours per academic year. We seek candidates who are excellent in imparting state-of-the-art financial knowledge to a socioeconomically, geographically, and increasingly ethnically diverse student body. In addition, candidates are expected to publish in impactful, peer-reviewed journals related to their field and engage in service. The finance program offers an undergraduate concentration as part of the BS in Business program, and meaningfully contributes to the new graduate MS in Innovation and Management program. Therefore, a successful candidate must be able to teach with high quality across a variety of finance courses and topics at the Bachelor and Master levels, carrying a load of five sections per academic year. The successful candidate should be able to collaborate with faculty across a broad cross-section of business disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities
The new faculty member will teach required and elective courses in the undergraduate business major with specialty emphasis in finance, and graduate courses supporting the M.S. in Innovation and Management program, advise students, conduct scholarly research, and provide college and
university service and engagement. A normal teaching load is 15 credit hours per year
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree with emphasis in finance or a closely related field by start date from an AACSB-accredited university.
- Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance supporting all business majors.
- For assistant professor rank, potential to carry on a successful program of scholarly research resulting in publication in respected peer-reviewed journals. For associate professor rank, demonstrated success publishing in respected peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrated experience teaching upper level and graduate courses.
- Ability to teach in more than one business area.
- Record of refereed publications.
- Professional experience and/or certifications.
