The University of Michigan Medical School is seeking an experienced data and analytics lead to join the Medical School Administration team. This position will be integral to the Data Analytics team and will play a key role continuing to expand the data and analytics capabilities within the Medical School. This role will be the lead among the existing team of analysts and will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the current team of analysts. This role will be responsible for insuring that the team has the technical capabilities to meet the growing demand for more complex and advanced analytics in the Medical School. Further, this role will work closely with the Administrative Manager of the Analytics group to work with leadership in meeting the data and analytics needs of the institution, and support the Medical School’s and Michigan Medicine’s strategic goals.
Reporting to the Medical School’s Senior Administrative Manager of Data Analytics and Business consulting, candidates for this position are expected to exhibit strong leadership skills and function as a team player. The Medical School Administration team is a cohesive group of individuals who value one another and reach new heights by leveraging one another’s strengths, and candidates must embrace and thrive within this culture. Candidates should also have a strong understanding of analytics concepts and a thorough technical acumen. Experience in and understanding of academic medical centers is desired. In addition, the successful candidate for this role will be able to define their preferred work location, whether that is fully remote, partially remote, or fully in the office.
