Job Description
DATA ANALYST/COORDINATOR 2, Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research, to research and perform data analyses in support of KI’s mission, including its NCI Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) requirements. Responsibilities include performing data analysis and interpretation of datasets; designing queries in response to data requests; and writing analytical reports and summarizing results of research by creating graphs, tables, and charts, including preparing data and visualizations for meetings and presentations such as for KI’s Scientific Advisory Board and the CCSG (non-competing, competing, and interim grant submissions and the NCI site visit). Will also provide input into assessments of programs and initiatives and perform other relevant duties as assigned. May create and administer user surveys.
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree in a related field; at least two years of relevant experience analyzing and modeling large, complex data sets and creating informative reports and dashboards; familiarity with data visualization and communication tools; as well as experience analyzing and modeling large complex data sets and creating informative reports and dashboards; experience with SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or the equivalent; broad knowledge of the principals of data analysis and interpretation and understanding of related disciplines such as data visualization; and strong customer service and communication skills.
PREFERRED: master’s degree; proficiency with statistical programming languages, database query languages, predictive analysis techniques, and statistical methodology; and experience administering projects, programs, or processes.
