PATIENT COORDINATOR, TSAI LAB, Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, to assist with clinical and translational research designed to evaluate whether Gamma ENtrainment Using Sensory (GENUS) stimulation can be used to help people with memory impairment or who are at risk of developing impairment. Will collaborate with MIT’s Clinical Research Center and faculty members across multiple disciplines at MIT and Harvard to bring GENUS to human participants. Responsibilities include overseeing protocol development and IRB submissions and maintaining IRB protocols and certifications; serving as primary contact for study subjects, screening subjects for inclusion, scheduling and preparing subject study visits, escorting subjects, following up with subjects after study visits, and managing subject reimbursement; coordinating and participating in research protocol activities during study visits (e.g., neuropsych testing, MRI and EEG recording, or sample collection); ensuring tracking and timely databasing of samples, notes, and data collected during the study visit using databases such as REDCap, Dropbox, or Google Drive; coordinating and participating in study follow-up activities (e.g., processing, transportation, or shipment of samples; analysis of study data, etc.); and performing other duties as assigned (e.g., purchasing, maintaining materials/supplies, transporting/shipping study materials, etc.).
Job Requirements:REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; two years’ experience working in a medical/scientific research setting or comparable technology-oriented business environment; excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; detail oriention; ability to synthesize inputs from multiple sources, prioritize, effectively manage time, be proactive and consistent on follow-through, and effectively interact with staff and external contacts at all levels; discretion with confidential information; and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
