Summary of Position
Provides general and specialized housekeeping and ensures the cleanliness of the President of the University’s residence. Provides routine and major cleaning of the home and provides additional services, as required for a variety of events. This position is the first point of contact when something is needed for the Presidents/family. Judgements and decisions will be made from this contact. Communicates and helps coordinate services and oversight of the schedule and upkeep of maintenance for an assortment of household vendors including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control and contractors for special projects. Uses supplies and resources in a cost-efficient manner. Modifies work schedule based on the event(s) and/or project(s) as needed.

Duty/Responsibility
This position is the sole provider for housekeeping services for a high profile historical facility requiring specialized services. Performs routine and major cleaning of public and private spaces on three levels and a basement. Adheres to an established routine to maintain property and furnishings. Maintains indoor and outdoor spaces porches, patios, staircases, interior/exterior doors, windows, windowsills, valuable paintings, furnishings and ensures areas are free of dust and dirt accumulation. Performs maintenance on a variety of flooring; and uses proper solutions, techniques, and equipment. Floor maintenance may include vacuuming and spot treatment of carpets and rugs, sweeping, dust and damp mopping foe hard surface floors. Daily cleaning of kitchen; cleaning of commercial-grade appliances as well as performing deep cleaning on a regular basis. Ensures all areas are supplied with appropriate levels of towels, soap, tissue, and other needed items and handles all waste and recycle receptacles. Takes great care to appropriately clean and preserve antique and historical items. Polishes regularly and ensures proper storage and inventory of items.
Duty/Responsibility
Coordinates building and grounds needs, arranging maintenance and vendors (such as for utilities, pest control, or household appliances), coordinating schedules, and following up to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Responsible for household logs relating to maintenance, vendors, special events and projects.

Works with the Director of Conferences, Catering, and Retail Services in the planning of special events, contractors, caterers and others with set-up and clean up. Interacts with the residents and guests in a professional manner with a focus on providing high-level service and performing duties with a high degree of confidentiality.

Wash, dry, fold/hang linen for the Catering Department, and assist with maintaining inventory. Maintains cleanliness of meeting space in assigned areas. Other duties as assigned.
