This is a full time, salaried position. This position is work from home, but does require residency in San Diego, CA.

The Knowledge Management department focuses on the development of applications, reporting/analytics and data platforms to support clinical and financial performance at Scripps Health. The team enjoys a flexible schedule with work/life balance and opportunities for career development. The Enterprise Architect will have the opportunity to combine their innovative and technical skills to create and implement a vision for the data engineering team that will directly impact patient care. This position is ideal for the experienced engineer with leadership skills who can communicate effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the overall direction for the organization's technical infrastructure within an IS discipline.
- Works with technical staff to integrate hardware, software and/or network interfaces to form a system.
- Builds strategic roadmap for technology lifecycle and standards.
- Builds integrated system design by gathering current state, transition state and future state for a single discipline.
- Maintains deep technical expertise in area of specialization.
- May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
- ETL support as needed
Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:
- Five years related experience plus excellent critical and analytical thinking and excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced infrastructure design skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Solid understanding of multiple disciplines such as operating systems, virtualization, networking, integration, software development, endpoint devices, security or cloud services
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, SQL, SSIS/SSMS, Databricks, and Python
Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:
- Seven years experience in a healthcare or IT setting.
- Certification specific to technologies supported 2 years experience defining and implementing strategies under a Director or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree
